Supporting the Salvation Army at the Hope in the City Luncheon

The Wood Automotive Group and the Wood family were proud to be the presenting sponsor of The Salvation Army Hope in the City Luncheon to kick off the 2025 Christmas Kettle campaign.
More than 500 guests attended this year’s luncheon, which featured an inspiring presentation from Calgary Sports and Entertainment President & CEO Robert Hayes and COO Lorenzo DeCicco. A special highlight included a generous $25,000 donation from the Flames Foundation to launch the campaign.
This year’s Kettle Campaign goal is $800,000, with every dollar staying right here in Calgary to support some of the most vulnerable members of our community. That support includes beds and food for the unhoused, food hampers for families in need, ESL and education classes, spiritual care and of course Christmas gifts for hundreds of local kids.
Look for the Christmas Kettle volunteers at stores and malls throughout the city. Donations can be made by cash or debit and every penny truly makes a difference as the need continues to grow.
