In recognition of National Truth and Reconciliation Day, the Wood Automotive Group honours the resilience of Indigenous peoples and acknowledges the ongoing impacts of the residential school system. We live, work, and play on the traditional territories of the Tsuut’ina, Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), Îyâxe Nakoda Nations, the Métis Nation (Region 3), and all people who call the Treaty 7 region home.
This year, alongside Metro Ford, our dealerships Big 4 Motors and Taza Park VW were honoured to donate $10,000 to the Tsuut’ina Foodbank. This essential organization supports more than 100 Nation members every month.
Pictured with us are Shyloh Whitney, Tsuut’ina Nation Food Bank Manager, Rob Coleman, General Manager Big 4 Motors, Joshua Buchanan, General Manager Taza Park Volkswagen, and Liam Pattimore, General Manager Metro Ford. Also in attendance were Wood Automotive Group CEO Jim Reader and executive members Sam Elfakhouri, CFO, and Adam Dalton, Director of Finance & Accounting.
Today and every day, we stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities, honour survivors, and remember that Every Child Matters.
